DO NOT GO TO THIS HOSPITAL! THE WORST NURSES WORK HERE! Hinton is the armpit of Medicare. Low class nurses with low class attitudes and low class hospital care. I was just a number to them. I have never been treated so badly in my life. Within 24 hours of me having surgery they quit bringing me Tylenol... I have no idea why? Lazy or too busy? But yes I went without any painkillers after having a major surgery here! I also had to share a room with a 90 year old woman who kept poohing everywhere. It was so bad I could not stop vomiting ( not good after an abdominal surgery). By noon the next day the entire room and bathroom had been soiled. I could no longer be in my room or use the bathroom. My family helped me into a chair in the main entrance and that is where I had to stay until someone cleaned the room which was past 3pm. In the middle of the night I awoke to this woman doing something to my iv machine. Scary! I couldnt even defend myself because I couldnt sit up. I wanted to call an ambulance for myself while I was there. I wasn't allowed any friends or family to help me. They all got kicked out when visiting hours are over. Then they let you lay there in excruciating pain while they make fun of you at the nurses station. So I wanted to leave and go to another hospital!!!! Well they wanted me to sign a paper while I was still impaired from anesthetic saying I understood the dangers of leaving... what about the dangers in staying? If I did not sign the paper they were going to phone the police on me. So I had no bed or bathroom or proper care or pain killers, no family allowed to help, no leaving or you are going to jail... all within 24 hours of my major surgery. I felt like a hostage who has no human rights!!!!!. What kind of an institution is this place? Why would the nurses not follow the doctors care plan? Why would they just make up there own? Why would they not even bring a Tylenol to a patient who just had surgery??? Oh ya they are nurses so they don't even have to answer those questions! They are above everyone... they don't care about their patients... they act like they bought the Tylenol themselves and if they don't like you... you don't get any! I am devastated and traumatized by my stay at the Hinton Hospital. How dare they threaten to call the cops on me for wanting to go somewhere else with a bed and a bathroom and get some help! What are the cops going to do? Take me and all my stitches with blood leaking everywhere to the clink?????????? That is some real stellar nursing! Izabelle, Emma, and Bridget! But truly if the Hinton jail has a bed and a toilet it would have been better for me. I will die before I ever go to Hinton Hospital again. This hospital and these nurses should be legally responsible if I suffer ptsd or a bladder/bowel issues from this treatment.

I've had 2 boys born here. Loved the experiences with that. However, when on the verge of having an asthma attack myself and coming to the hospital late at night, I get asked by one specific nurse "am I REALLY going to have to call a doctor in for This?". Aside from the one "lovely" nurse that works there, good experiences.

Nice hospital, and friendly staff. Great nurses.

Very disappointed with here. Called to find out how much a pelvic ultrasound would be for a out of country patient. Was told $180 but on the day of appointment I found out that I had been misinformed and it would be $450. Mistakes happen but this is unfair.

my friend get injured on Canada day so we went to the ER wait time was very very short and they ended up helping her in no time ! I know that in emergencies you won't be prepared to bring anything to keep you busy while you wait in the waiting room but having a charged phone would be a good idea & no wifi
