The Beaver Boardwalk was really fun to walk in the evening. We saw baby ducks and frogs and beavers. The boardwalk is a really good idea for what to do with low lying wetlands if you want to make a park without ruining the natural habitat of the animals! One side of the boardwalk was under water and looks like it needs some work, but otherwise it was very enjoyable!
Went in with pretty low expectations, but in the end my wife and I spent an hour waling around the well-maintained boardwalks and trails and had a great time. The interpretive signs we good and placed low so that they don't affect the view. Overall it was a great way to spend an hour and we'll definitely be taking the kids there next time we're passing through.
We went there during mid September after the first snow. The boardwalk is connected to a system of trails and you can spend hours there. Not much slope so fairly easy walk. The weather was not good so we'll definitely come back next time in the spring or summer. Recommend this to anyone who wants to spend some quiet time in the nature. Park is well maintained as well.
This place was so much fun. We saw lots of beavers. More than we were expecting. Just one negative. Wish there was someway to regulate the rules about dogs on leashes. So many owners let their dogs run free. One owner was throwing sticks into the lake for his dog. This spoiled our enjoyment, after travelling 5 hours to get here. Pretty sure rules are in place for a reason.
Really cool place to take a walk in Hinton! We went with our family of 12 (7 adults and 5 children) and we all enjoyed ourselves! There was a good variety of trails and scenery to keep everyone entertained for a couple of hours. We loved this place for the free admission fee (!!!), Varied scenery and the water! We left the strollers in the car, just in case, but we could have used them on the smooth boardwalk trails!
