This is a lovely campground.You know like the one your grandparents took you too.They have cabins, laundry , flush toilets, showers and outhouses.A beautiful little playground here for the kids.The people running it have thought of everything, toys you can borrow and bring back, a treasure box in case you forgot a charger or something, just borrow and bring back. Movies galore. A adult playground horseshoes, tetherball.They have a tenting site right by the creek that has a teepee and a hammock.In the bathroom she keeps q tips, a hair dryer and Listerine, just things you may have forgot. They also have an outdoor Kitchen type enclosure, which would be great for a reunion or wedding.Don't let the rules scare you, they are just trying to run a beautiful, clean, quiet family camp. This was one of the nicest campgrounds I've been to, beautiful spot and the owners were super nice! We will be back again next year. Nice little creek running right by our site and very close to Hinton. Bathrooms were clean and showers were included. Worth checking this place out for sure!
We camped at Couger Creek in 2015 on our Cross Canada bicycle trip. Nice tent spot close to the creek. Friendly helpful staff. Clean facilities, showers and laundromat. Grassy area for tent. I don't understand all the negative reviews except to say we've seen some pretty inconsiderate campers in our travels!
We stayed here a couple of weekends ago. A little close to the highway Ill admit, but had an amazing experience. Cozy clean cabins with awesome beds, warm clean showers/bathrooms. Wood was readily available and when one of the owners noticed we were low he delivered us more, went above and beyond for my 6 year old brother giving him tattoos ( temporary)and a ride on the side by side which he absolutely loved. Diane was so sweet and Darren was very kind when we locked ourselves out of the cabin early in The morning. Will be coming back for sure.
I would of preferred setting up our tent on the side of the road. Ive stay in 15 + campgrounds in my life time and never witnessed one ran so sloppy the owner is all of the place and says one thing one minute and flips around and its completely different. Happy then mean. Told our group we had to leave for not wearing a paper bracelet in the pouring rain. After seeing signs everywhere and I mean everywhere about how you will get charged for this and that I was worried about having my credit card on file. I went online to read other reviews wondering if she was just having a bad day but I found multiple reviews talking about extra charges, small claims court and bad services etc. Because of this we went to the office paid for our wood with cash and called our credit cards to cancel in fear of extra charges. We then packed up in the pouring rain and left at almost 11 pm with child and went home. If you do stay here for what ever reason please take pictures and inventory of everything before and after like we did.
